Tulips blooming and more

The red tulips are all starting to open. One has a jump on them all. The other colors are still working at their buds, I guess. It was still early, the bloom had not opened up quite yet this morn.

The tulips are new this year. I hope to add to them this fall, more colors and all that. I still have not planted this years herbs! Eek!

The mint has gone a bit wild. To the right is a lilac bush that was a remainder at the nursery. It is budding nicely.

They are hard to make out, the josta and blueberry bushes are budding too! Okay... one of the blueberry bushes is budding. the other is getting leaves at least. I must learn how to take better care of the berry plants.

The black pansies are really spreading and doing well, as you can see above and to the right. I am sadden the purple and orange ones died during the winter. that is unusual for them to not hold up to our climate. Another batch must be found.

The tiger lilies are popping up, as shown to the left here.
Miss Sally helped us work outside in the gardening areas. We got the garden almost ready for planting.

Sally is doing pretty well learning to do her business outside. The accidents are fewer. Today, it was plain old orneriness. She wanted a cheesy-poof and she was not getting one. She still has only nibbled at her lunch a tiny bit. Changing the daily schedule is hard on her right now. Eventually she will adapt.
We hope.

Time for a shower and some zzzzzzzzzzzz......

I am a bit ecclectic. This blog is whimsical musings about my various interests and sharing things I am learning. If anything, it will be a good sleeping pill, no?

  1. Sally is such a little cutie...what fun she must have had working in the garden. Finn our little friend trained really easy. But a few accidents are normal.
Looks like you are having a good spring. I have Tulips, Finn thinks they are to eat!!!!! Happy Spring, mary
