I have a laundry list of things to post, mainly the lessons I learned as a beginner and for my Zone 3-4. Another time. Instead, a couple of photos.
The first watermelon is about ready to pick. I put my hand by it to show the size somewhat. Sugar Baby watermelons are small, about 7" to 8 1/2" in diameter. Perfect for two people.
The pumpkin patch is taking over! If all the blooms make it, we will be in squash for a year.

Speaking of squash, I have a happy zucchini plant. The zucchini, patty pan and spaghetti squash plants were almost wiped out by the mormon crickets and earwigs, as were the pumpkin plants. We may get a few off each plant, but considering what they went through, we are lucky to get what we get.
Night!
